We've learned to keep ultra-processed food off our own plates. Our dogs deserve the same thinking.
Much of the pet aisle is made the way the snack aisle is: high heat, long ingredient lists, and additives to hold it together and keep it on the shelf for a year.
We cook differently. We start with real meat, add a few whole foods with a purpose, and dry it low and slow so it keeps its flavour and texture. A dog looked after from the inside shows it on the outside: in their energy, their coat and their appetite for life.

Canivoro treats complement whatever your dog already eats. Vets generally suggest treats stay under about 10% of a dog's daily food. That's a small share of the bowl, so we fill it with real ingredients chosen for good nutrition, not empty filler.
It started with one very fussy Jack Russell
Pablo turned his nose up at every "premium" bag and tin we bought him. So Massy started cooking for him instead: five chicken feet with some pumpkin and carrot, simmered on the stove. He stood on his back legs waiting for that plate to cool.
That plate became a kitchen full of experiments, and the experiments became Canivoro. Massy still makes every batch by hand in Sydney, and Pablo still tastes every one.
